Being Your Own Valentine

Happy Valentines Day!!  

This is the first time I can recall of Valentine’s Day landing on a Sat.  In the past this day typically was on a weekday and it was like uuuugh blah when you see all or some of the women of the office getting flowers and whatnot.  But in the last few years I have begun to be ok with Valentine’s Day being a single woman.  It wasn’t an easy task as I age each year but I am now soo accustomed to being solo on this day that I just normally treat it as a regular day and keep it moving.   I have taken advantage of today to be my own Valentine by treating myself to getting my hair done and not sure to what ever else but will do that too.    I am blessed for the opportunity to get chance to have a long strong weekend (off on Presidents day- HOORAY) to be able to do that.   My belief is that not all Valentine’s Day’s will be spent solo and even if it is I am fine with it.  I think I would actually be in a shock if I actually didn’t spend it solo but still enjoy it nonetheless.   But shoot if I don’t love myself who in the hell will, you know??  So if you are someone spending this Flowers, Hallmark Cards, Every Kiss Begins With Kay Day alone don’t let it get you down.  Do something for yourself or get together with others for an outing or gathering @ someone’s house (cause the economy is a bitch   ).  But do something just a little special for yourself, hell even if it is just taking time to zone out and relax!!  You are blessed to see another V-Day so isn’t that worth celebrating for yourself??  Especially in the midst of thattragic plane crash near Buffalo!!!

The best thing about this day-  ON THE 15th THE CANDIES ARE HALF OFF!!!
