Are ALL Children the Future or certain ones?
Posted: February 28, 2009 Filed under: CPAC, jonathan krohn, Republicans, Washington Times 3 Comments »The Washington Times did an editorial on Ty’Sheoma Bethea and how in a nutshell her school (that has faced hardships and difficulties on school construction but regrouped to make improvements to the school and surrounding schools) will hit the pay dirt. Primarily because in the writer’s POV “Super President” will now be able to take care of the school and similiar schools like her courtesy of the stimulus bill passed in which funding will be allotted to schools across the country. I found the article very repulsive and I was offended of the disrespect of this young lady who the writer has just summed up will be SAVED greatly because of funds going towards her school. This line right here is the MFing kicker:
“Connections are replacing competence as a measure of a person’s worth.”
8 years of Bushshit and it’s hypocrisy at it’s finest huh?? Stating that line and using it re: a young child who is working towards a brighter future inspite of her circumstances?? How sorry ass can a writer be to attack a young black girl and her school and community!!! So what the community did things on their own to rebuild back up the school in the past and present and along with that will be getting government funding? In a day and age in which American public schools and kids attending them are behind (there are statistics showing low test scores and high drop out rates) versus kids in other countries in which they spend A BULK of their time studying isn’t that something we should want (along with the parental support)??
Yet 13 yr old Jonathan Krohn is being placed in such high regard for his youth and bright outlook on conservatism by those attending the CPAC. And probably by Washington Times with their hypocritical asses!!!
So is Krohn’s future much brighter than Bethea’s because he is a young white boy repeating conservative mantra spoon fed by mommy and daddy and not a young black girl whose life and outlook on things differs. Yet she still has the same drive and determination as he does for greatness in life!! How is it right to praise one child and their background but perhaps deem the other child as less than because of their respective background?? Where is the justice in that??
Again Are ALL Children the Future or just certain ones????
Salon also address Wash Times on their criticism of the comments as well!!!
