She will besorely missed!! My all time favorite and underrated song from this woman THAT GETS NO RADIO AIRPLAY AT ALL!!
I soo thank my early to mid 90′s college years in Frostburg Univ and the music store in that hick town Lavale mall for discovering this now out of print two albums on one disc I have had since the mid 90′s. The double album disc set has Irons in the Fire and It Must Be Magic on it. The song “365″ is on the It Must Be Magic side. If you get a chance to find this RARE CD BUY IT ASAP!!!
Lots of people rave about the passionate and romantic duet she did with the original Slick Rick but this underrated cut by them I really enjoyed even more.
Black folks love some Teena in the same way they hate some Queen Snowbilly Lipstick Bigoted Bitch from AK!! That’s square biz yall…

Gary Coleman was a memorable person on “Diff’rent Strokes” which I grew up watching as an 80′s child. Little did I know as a child, the struggle and pain behind the scenes of Coleman and his two other young co-stars outside of the half hour I would see watching the show. This is sad that now there was Dana Plato’s tragic loss, recently the loss of her son committing suicide because he never overcame his mother’s loss. Now the loss of Coleman!!
Initially when I saw him go thru his struggles and difficulties I was like dayum why is he soo bitter and angry. But as I saw that he seem to never overcome his obstacles and troubles and seem to have strong aspects of depression, his demeanor stayed the same. Recently I saw him on these commericials for Cashcall.com a few years back and was like
But even still the more I began to learn about him, the more I honestly felt sorry for him and wished he got some help for his anger and pain he has had throughout the years. Lord knows that keeping all of that within his small frame with his health issues damn sure wasn’t good either!! I was surprised honestly that there wasn’t an opportunity to have a VH1 reality show centered around him to help him back on his feet. I mean really if they got reality shows giving spotlight to Ray J and Brett Michaels, hell why not Gary for real?? I oddly thought his marriage to be a fluke initially and was sad to read about the abuse and drama around that too, shown on a national scale on an episode of “Divorce Court”. Inspite of their drama they still apparently had a deep love for each other which is good to know!! In the end Shannon Price was by his side as his wife making the difficult or perhaps the best decision for him with his serious head injury!!
I am not sure what his faith or belief is in. But I am betting for sure that the pain and hurt of his adopted parents abusing him financially, his struggles with his health, his bouts of depression and feelings he could never catch a break in life are all gone now.
Hopefully HE IS finding the eternal peace in heaven he couldn’t get on earth!!![]()
And now going back to my childhood…
Along the way I found this PSA he did for the Kidney Foundation back in the day which was very sweet and touching…
One Month without MJ- SMDH!!!

I know he has been putting on a fantastic eternal concert up there and is at peace while he looks down smiling on how people are remembering him with such love and appreciation!!
If I had to decide on at least several memorial things to showcase it would be to show this 1980 interview (I AM TRULY FIXATED AND LOVE ALL THINGS late 70′s/early 80′s pre Thriller MJ)
As well as this throw back video. Can you imagine if they did a millenium version of this video related to all of the fans who come from various differences and all walks of life coming together?
And finally in spirit this gentle reminder from him where he will always be!!
MJ doing a Suzuki ad back in the day!!
Posted: July 7, 2009 Filed under: 1980's, michael jackson, Music 1 Comment »I still can’t believe he is gone but having such memories of his music and videos has helped me a lot to make me less sad. I have gotta Thank God for Youtube and learning more and more on things on Jackson I wasn’t aware of. Besides discovering song like the early demo of PYT I oddly enough came across this interesting video of him in the making of shooting in Japan (I believe) an ad for Suzuki motorbikes in 1980 or 1981. Before Pepsi!!
He was just happy, lively, handsome as hell (jheri curl was JUST RIGHT
), a cool, sweet , swagger sexiness!! I recommend to folks and young kids discovering him to use Youtube to catch those pre Thriller videos, concerts, interviews, etc of MJ because they are enjoyable to watch the making of someone on the cusp of blowin up BIGTIME and the sweetness and innocence of this talented man!! On this same video clips are the finished results of those 2 Suzuki motorbike ads.
Pac Man Fever

Remember that song Pac Man Fever??
I don’t know what it is but I have been in a Pac Man/Donkey Kong vibe/obsession for the last couple of weeks. One day @ work I was in the midst of working on a testing assignment and I started thinking about those arcade video game toys they had designed to give an arcade feel. They made those items back in the 80’s, I particularly remembered the Pac Man/Ms. Pac Man/Donkey Kong ones. I wanted one back during that time and even put in on my Christmas list (when that item was VERY POPULAR) but alas just like with all of my other “dream toys” Christmas List items I didn’t get it!!
Originally I was interested (and still am) getting that Namco Museum for Nintendo DS on EBay (that has Pac Man on there) and my mini Pac Man obsession grew from there. Little did I know when I started looking @ EBay for those Pac Man & Donkey Kong arcade games did I realize they wanted a some serious dough for those things. I have seen as low as starting out as $5 to going as high as $300+, particularly if the item is in mint condition with the instruction book & other paperwork, AC Adapter and in some cases still maintained in the ORIGINAL 1980’s BOX. Reading up on various websites lead me to the insight into these are actually now considered collector’s items. I remember my fondness and loving memories of being an 80’s child playing Pac man on the Commodore 64.
I did my lil occasional watching a few of the PM and DK auctions and dipping my hand back into the EBay game (after not doing it for a few years) to place bids. I wanted to get it yet I was not desiring to pay crazy sums of money over $30 at least. Well I guess persistence, patiently watching an auction, and a snow day with few people @ work
PAID OFF!! I finally ended up purchasing a Pac Man mini arcade game with the price of $18.01 plus the shipping/handling of $10.58 and the entire total being $28.59 (under $30). I still have my eye on possibly (?) getting Donkey Kong but I am not sweating that too much.
Now to make the set complete I saw a cute lil stuffed Pac Man also on EBay that would look just “totally cute” (LOL) next to my arcade game. I decided against getting that stuffed Pac Man.
It’s a shame though that I had to fulfill that “dream toy” Christmas Wish List item as an adult. If I had that joker as a kid I could have gotten top money for it if I opted to sell it!!
