Thoughts of Haiti…

Unless you have been living under a rock the week of  Jan 15, the country of Haiti had a traumatic and horrific 7.0 magnitude earthquake occur on Tues afternoon.  The death toll estimates have to be in the 50,000+ if not more!!!  We have had a week of megadose of news coverage and outpouring of support on the positive side.   On the negative side there was lack of coverage due to “We don’t give a shit because they aren’t white and Real America”  from the “Fair and Balanced” network in the Prime time hours as well as insensitive comments and lack of a mention nor caring from their top rated personalities from that same network along with like minded insensitive comments from a so called Christian and an overall $400 million/yr earning bigot (with a weeks worth of ignorant shit out of his mouth)!!! 

Kudos by the way to CNN and MSNBC for their round the clock coverage!!!  U  guys get shining stars!!

I didn’t realize Wyclef Jean had a blog and cool he is on WordPress like lil ole me!!    Go and check out his first hand account of what he and his wife are doing and donate to his charity Yele!!

Please don’t overdose and consume yourself on the news coverage though because it can put you in a negative spirit.  I am seeing this myself from one particular person who I follow on Facebook who has an impatience & instant gratification mindset on the aid coming to the country and not understanding of the logicistical aspects of the matter!!    Yet keep the people and others impacted in your thoughts and prayers, LET’S PRAY FOR MORE OF THE CALVARY TO BE COMING AS SOON AS THEY CAN and donate to the reputable charities out there!!!
