Why must one downplay their race if your viewpoints are politically different when that is something that makes us unique, our experiences can add to the dialog of our debates (unlike hypocritical conservative whites who took up issue with NOW Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor and her “Wise Latina” comments yet their OWN background makes up their own experience and how they came about to be a conservative white) and (yikes) it actually makes up a part of our DNA as (what Klannity would say) “A Great American”?? I respect those whose point of views differ from mind but I also have logic and common sense to see the obvious of the hateful and racist dialog. Once we can get past that to address the issues and concerns inspite of our differences (no one is really addressing the issues of class because sadly race keeps us divided yet class also plays a role in division too but that’s another subject altogether) is when we can perhaps be able to have some type of civil dialog versus the yelling, shouting and racist garbage going on currently that apparently Mr. Marcus is sooo oblivious to because he is what Paul Mooney says in a joke about race “under the illusion of inclusion”.
I recently got a comment from one poster (on a prior post I wrote about Sept 11) who is in such denial of it I basically told this fool, sorry stop responding to me because it is what it is and we can agree to disagree (I even cited various examples in my response back to this person)!! If you are that much of a fool to not acknowledge it I don’t know what the hell is wrong with you!!!

My biggest pet peeve with him (as with all conservatives of color with that same mindset) is that he seems to downplay his family culture and considers himself a “Blue Blooded American”. This was clearly evident in this interview with him and his wife!! You can be of color and embrace the American aspects of our society which has it’s good and bad as well as embrace your own culture. Strange enough Obama walks that line with not many problems but apparently Jindal thinks to downplay his is what is in his best interest and caters to the likes of the Newts/Rush/Klannity base!!! I’ve never known of Indians to downplay their culture at all in the ones I have interacted with!!
That is a shame if you ask me but he probably gets along very well with this bitch!!

I was finally able to make time to go on Martin’s blog thru Essence.com to find a video clip of him discussing this with David Gergen & Ron Christie on AC 360.

I feel sorry for Ron Christie (a real life Carlton Banks from “The Fresh Prince”) if he has children. I wonder what he teaches his children about black history and the negative image of primates and how they are equated with black people!!
Perhaps Ron Christie needs to have the shit smacked upside his head so he is no longer cross eyed and can actually see as well as comprehend the offensiveness of that cartoon. It is one thing to hear his commentary on NPR (sometimes I agree with it and somtimes I don’t. But to hear and see him stick up for that garbage?
He needed to have gone with his fellow House Negro Juan Williams to Fox News & said that BS to bigotted fools like Bill O The Clown and Klannity FOR REAL!!!! Bill O and Klannity favor black assholes like Christie and Williams that think like them and do their dirty work of trashing black folks they think “use every chance they get to play that damn race card on EVERYTHING“!!!
Being a conservative of color doesn’t mean not honestly acknowledging ignorance and bigotry where ever it may be!! It’s a shame that folks like Christie and Malkin in my view think like this!!!

Since she doesn’t see anything racially wrong with the cartoon (and comes off insensitive to the long negative history of equating primates to blacks) I wonder if it is fair to ask Malkin (maiden name Maglalang) some questions. Is it wrong for me to ask her if she or her parents or relatives have ever eaten household pets as delicacies?
Or how about being referred to as a FLIP:
“Flip” is usually either a hip, funky shorthand for “Filipino” or a derogatory acronym (Fucking Little Island Person) like “chink”. I have never encountered the derogatory version personally, so for me “Flip” has the former connotation. If you want to use the word as an insult, then please say something like “you fucking Flip” for the sake of clarity –and then be prepared for a counter-attack.
Or perhaps if she has relatives or a history of ancestors who have worked in sweatshops for shitty wages or worked on the streets “me love you long time” from her family’s native land?? I wonder how that trick ass bitch would take such racial jabs thrown like that back at her!!! I am quite sure that would ruffle her Filipino feathers up a bit and she would be fighting back!!!
Perhaps then and only then when you stick that same stuff back at the faces of other conservatives of color who perhaps are under their own world of “illusion of inclusion” they will actually have that light bulb come on in their heads!!! I hate to write those comments that way but perhaps going for the jugular with some of these kinds of people is the best way to counterattack. Killing them with kindness and open dialog to understand them is pointless unless they come back with that same gameplan!!!
