It was DEAD ASS WRONG!!  Yet as I listened to some black talk radio and read FaceBook comments (from Warren Ballentine’s page) of black people defending his behavior it had me very much feeling like  What The F***?.  Cause these same negros defending this behavior of his are the same ones still outraged & find dead wrong the outburst theatrics of Congressman Joe Wilson’s diss to President Obama.  Comments I saw on Facebook basically in a nutshell were like ”hell (white folks) diss the President who cares about Kanye dissing one of their own”?  Now how in the hell does that make any kind of damn sense WHATSOEVER???  BLACK PEOPLE PLEASE WAKE UP & REALIZE WRONG IS WRONG RE: DISRESPECT!!! Wrong is wrong is wrong is wrong re:disrespecting someone and taking away their respective moment!!!!  Furthermore if it was one of them getting dissed by Kanye they would have been cussing his black ass all up and down something fierce!!

I am not a fan of hers musically but I got to give major respect to Beyonce for showing class, grace and protecting her name by bringing Taylor on stage when she was awarded her VMA for Video of the Year to allow Taylor to finish up her acceptance speech!!  NOW THAT’S BEING A TRUE COOL DIVA!!!!  Too bad some of the black people defending West’s behavior in my opinion didn’t show such class and grace in their defense of wrong behavior!!

Now with his appearance on Jay Leno the truth which I always knew all along comes out of his not being able to truly grieve the passing of his mother and amazingly stating he will take some time off to regroup.

Random thought on racism & Gates drama

I can’t take this credit for this thought.  As a matter of fact I was listening to Warren Ballentine’s show and a caller on Weds show mentioned this.  How come Obama is hosting this Kum-Ba-Ya/ We Are The World BS “Beer Summit” with Sgt James Crowley and Henry Louis Gates.  Yet those children from Philly who PAID GOOD MONEY to attend a swim club in the suburbs but were discriminated against at that club weren’t even thought of to attend The White House after the fact.  I mean Thank God for Tyler Perry paying for the kids to go to Disney World, but how cool as well as addressing a real deal matter on racism would it have been for President Obama to open The White House to those kids to come!!

These are my thoughts on the Gates drama that I gave.  It was posted on the Baltimore Channel 11 website and here it is below:

Sgt Crowley & Henry Louis Gates were both heated in the matter (and I completely understand). But Sgt Crowley is refusing to apologize and overall felt his authority challenged by a black man. I have heard the COMPLETE 911 call on a radio show. Why is no one talking about the fact that the caller to 911 didn’t mention the person being a black man but in Sgt. Crowley’s report he falsely wrote that it was a black man? I don’t think that President Obama should back down NOR APOLOGIZE for his comments on how the Cambridge Police Dept and Sgt Crowley acted “stupidly” towards Professor Henry Louis Gates. This Kum-Ba-Ya/We Are The World event over beer to discuss race relations in my eyes is a WASTE OF TIME and won’t solve anything in my honest opinion. As a black woman race relations will sadly never be understood to understand the other’s feelings NOT IN MY LIFETIME!!! Bigotted feelings about people not of someone’s race I believe will always reign supreme over trying to understand another person’s experience!!

 

Bill passing may impact black radio

Black radio may be impacted severely if this Performance Tax (aka H.R. 848) Bill gets passed. Check out this site to see the specifics of this in detail.  If black radio stations have to pay for the music they play for free that can mean that R&B/Hip Hop/Gospel/Black Radio Morning Shows/Black Talk Radio and the remaining few Smooth Jazz Stations WILL BE GONE!!!  They will not be able to sustain the business of paying for employees, various other expenses and paying for the music to air at the same time.  Representative John Conyers and Melvin Watts are for this bill to be passed and those links for them you can use to contact them to tell them DO NOT PASS THIS BILL!!!  From what I have been hearing from the Warren Ballentine show, attempts to have an impact hearing so at least owners of black radio stations (such as Cathy Hughes) can have a say on this matter have been met with resistence by Conyers (who supposedly went the childish route of turning up a radio FULL BLAST).  I am wondering of there is something or someone making them make this particular decision.  The money that the radio station owners would be paying would be going to record labels companies (Sony, BMG) that are based in foreign companies and don’t pay any US taxes!!!

If this bill is passed it will mean that the airwaves will consist of mostly white conservative blowhards (the popular ones and some trying to get in that popular status) and a heavy constant rotation of the same tired ass Billboard Pop Top 40 shit will be the makeup of what is on free damn radio and nothing else in between that to offer a counterbalance!!   The conservative talk radio and top 40 music will be the type of stations that powerhouse companies like Infinity Broadcasting and Clear Channel will want to keep as those are money makers!!!
